Use this short record at each address. A driveway at one end does not settle the stairs, street access or carrying distance at the other.
Where can the van load?
Identify the usable entrance and a permitted loading place. Check signs, gates and barriers; include any walk between the van and the door.
How will the items reach it?
Select the floor or lift in the quote. Check entrance steps, stair turns, doors and lift openings against your largest items.
What belongs in Driver notes?
Record the entrance, gate instructions, carrying distance and any agreed building access. Keep the inventory, floors, moving help and extra addresses in their quote fields.
Does an address use a restricted Nottingham city-centre street?
Nottingham has areas with restrictions on vehicle access, waiting and loading. Check the actual entrance with the occupier, then use the council’s restricted-access guidance to establish whether permission is needed for that street, vehicle and date.
Permission to enter and permission to stop are separate checks. If the van cannot reach the door, identify a permitted loading point and include the carrying route in your plan. These restrictions do not apply to every Nottingham address.

Are drivers vetted and insured?
Yes. Before a driver can accept work, we check that they have a valid driving licence and current motor insurance.
Many drivers also carry Goods in Transit or Public Liability cover, but this varies. If you need a particular type or level of cover, contact us before booking and we’ll help you check.
How do you choose the right van size?
We use the items in your booking to choose a van with enough capacity for your move.
List every item as accurately as you can — it helps us send the right vehicle and is part of what makes your price fixed. If you need to add something later, update your booking at least 48 hours before the move. Changes can affect the price.
